Once you choose Hope, Anything’s possible
“Once you choose Hope, Anything’s Possible”… Christopher Reeve
The Definition of Hope:
1. The feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best.
2. A particular instance of this feeling: the hope of winning
I ask you “Why not you?” I ask you “Why shouldn’t you have everything you want in life?” I ask you “Who told you that you can’t have what you want”?
It seems that too many people believe that where they are in life today is where they will be forever.
I ask you Why think that? I ask you “Who made you believe that?”
I’m not saying it’s easy and that if you just change your attitude you’ll be on your way to your dreams. I am saying why not take a baby step towards your dream. Dip your toe in the water and go from there. That’s easy. Start with busting out of the chains that keep you down.
I want you to defend yourself against negative people and the negative talk. Defend your right to succeed. Why be bullied into low achievements by words that are not accurate or true? Words spoken by people who will never do anything with their lives. Little People!!!
Hope means busting out from the loser village that people close to you got you to buy into. Oh, the people that love you wouldn’t do that? Right? Yes Right!!! You did it to yourself and you allowed it to happen. Hey, I ask you “If you did do it why can’t you undo it???”
To Summarize: You want success in your life?
1-Use the questions above to bust out of all the mental restrictions you imposed on yourself. Start small. Just question yourself or have a positive human being work with you. Don’t beat yourself up. Take one question a week to begin your journey. One Question… It’s that simple.
2-Physically move forward towards you dream. You got 4 kids, 2 dogs, mortgage, helping your in-laws and no time. I ask you “Can’t you find 15 minutes every day that you could do research on making your dream come true?” If you can’t you might as well just resign yourself to your current reality.Just 15 minutes… It’s that simple.
3-Ladies and Gentlemen: You gotta have HOPE. Hope is dealing with your reality today AND at the same time know that you will be ok and that you will succeed. I ask you “Why Not?”
Good luck!

Barry
Who’s On Your Side???
Who’s On Your Side?
There are a Gazillion books on how to think positive thoughts and how to be successful. There are a lot of men and women who are making fortunes “teaching” us how to be happy and how to think positive thoughts. There are too many people giving us the “inside” scoop on how they became rich and successful and, OH BOY! , how we could do it too. The problem with the majority of what is being written and spoken about leaves out the most critical key to a successful life’s journey… It’s the answer to the question, who’s on your side?
The truth, in my opinion, is that yes, there are some basic rules you need to follow to have a successful business career or build a wonderfully fantastic life but the one thing, and the main thing, you need to have is a success support group that is there for you. They should be a mixture of people who are Nurturing, smarter than you, more successful than you and they should all believe that dreams can come true if you all help each other.
Most of the books and sermons emphasize “YOU” and what you have to do to move onward and upward. What they don’t mention is the fact the most important success ingredient is whose got your back and “Who’s on your side”. You’re not the Lone Ranger and that mentality will help you get absolutely nowhere and eventually slam into that proverbial wall.
From my experience the people you know and who know you is more important than any experience or Knowledge you may have. What one is lacking in traits needed for success can be rented (accountants, life coach, lawyers, and employees) or found in a success support network. Your own personal success support community.
What you need to do is once you have some powerful goals and before you begin to do anything you must look around you and see who you have on your side and how they can help move you to the next level and complement your personality and abilities.
“WHO’S ON YOUR SIDE???”
This is the most important question you will ever have to ask in your whole life. It’s the question and it’s the answers that will put you on the road to success in anything you want to achieve. If you want to bring someone with you on your journey to success and you think they can help you… STOP – LOOK – THINK. Look into their eyes and think silently “Whose side are you on?” Concentrate. You will be amazed at the answers you’ll get.
“WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON???”
Use this question every day of your life. Ask your important People just for the hell of it. If they are truly with you they will “Get It” and be happy to answer you. Ask it out loud when you need to make heavy people decisions. Listen carefully and you’ll be able to build a very strong success support network.
If someone is offended by the question then they’re not for you and they’re “Not on your side”
Make this question and its answers a priority when building your success support community. It will make the difference between whether you succeed or fail. I’ve lived this. This question will protect you if you’re honest and accept the reality it exposes.
I sincerely wish you the best of luck. Keep on Moving forward.

Barry
10 Action Tips to Make Your Dreams Real
Dr. Annette Colby, RD
Are you disappointed, discouraged and discontented with your present level of success? Are you secretly dissatisfied with your present situation? Do you want more abundance, inner peace, joy or happiness? Do you want improved health, a lighter body, or an end to a food obsession or addiction?
Yes, you can have what you want! Of course, you can. Yet accomplishing your dreams and creating change can be an involved and ongoing process. Despite this fact, at certain times in our lives, we dare to dream of a bigger life. Courageously we bring an inner desire up into our conscious awareness and feel the magnificence of a greater life. Excitement begins to bubble, and our hearts open as we anticipate new possibilities. Using all our available skills and tools, we set forth in the achievement of this new dream. Things move forward, and then one day the inevitable occurs: our bubble bursts. Reality hits us between the eyes and tells us we cannot have what we want.
Reaching a big obstacle or hitting a wall is exactly what happens when you dare to venture into new dreams. Why? Because your dream is a life experience you have never had before. It is an imagined reality, a fantasy, a made-up pretend world never before lived by you. You have dared yourself to discover if you are capable of letting go of old ways of thinking, acting, believing, feeling, and choosing, and now doing all of those things differently.
As you encounter a major setback or obstacle, it is easy to loose faith in your ability to create a new life. Quite often the difficulty in front of you is larger than the skills or beliefs you currently possess. You face decisions you are not used to making, uncomfortable risks, and accepting more responsibility than you are accustomed to accepting. When your next step forward seems impossible, it is tempting to give up and tell yourself that you cannot have what you want because you are incapable, unworthy, or undeserving.
Nothing is further from the truth. Instead, you have reached this very obstacle because you have worked hard to bring yourself to this point of change. You are now facing an opportunity of important personal growth and emotional healing. Your challenge or obstacle is a necessary place of decision on your journey. One choice is to turn back to the known and comfortable life you are accustomed to living. The other choice leads you courageously forward to generate new beliefs about your abilities, build new skills, and uncover strengths you did not know you possessed.
To get through the challenges of your goal-achieving journey, the following steps can ease the way:
1) Acceptance
Acceptance of where you are right now is an important component of change. Acceptance is simply recognition. Recognition is vitally important, because to recognize what doesn’t feel good makes it so much easier to look around and wonder what might feel better. Acceptance is an agreement to appreciate, validate, accept and support who you are at this very moment, even though there are aspects you would wish to change. You can face reality head-on without judgment – opening your eyes to explore the full, and sometimes messy, truth of what exists in your world without using illusions to pretend otherwise. You stop attempting to lay your problem on someone else’s shoulders. You realize no one outside of you will wave a magic wand and dissolve the problem. You can also stop blaming yourself. What you cannot accept, you cannot love. What you cannot love you cannot release.
2) Dream from the Heart
Lay your foundation of success by creating a strong vision of the life you want to be living. Take time to develop a new life potential by visualizing yourself as you want to be, not as you currently are. This involves going inside, sorting through some ideas and deciding which dreams, which desires, which outcomes feel exciting. Then instead of playing victim, blaming others, or dwelling on the worry or anxiety of what you don’t want in your life, you teach yourself to create an exciting partnership with something important to you. To succeed you must first dream! Dreams develop new possibilities, and give your life direction, purpose, and meaning.
3) Energy In Equals Energy Out
The energy that you place into the formation and nurturing of your vision is the energy that will be present when your dream becomes real. Create a bond of passion, love, and excitement between you and your dream. What you want is beautiful and good. Allow this love between you and your goal to be real and tangibly experienced. This excitement is the kind of internal love that says, “Yes! This is a good idea, a fun idea. I’ll spend more time playing with this idea, imagining myself living this idea, and taking action to bring this idea to life.” As you connect with your imagined outcome, you feel good once again. Feeling good makes you glad to be alive. Feed this increased sense of aliveness back into your dream by playing with your new potentials, new possibilities, and new opportunities.
4) Imagine Often
Imagination isn’t simply a visual picture of what is wanted. It is a full body experience. Take the time each day to sit, internally create, and celebrate a completely new world. You have the ability to pull up exciting ideas and share love, joy and life with your ideas and your body. The feeling good you are looking for doesn’t arrive in an shipping package later in time once you achieve your desire. The feeling good comes now as you allow ourselves to feel good because of your vision. Picture how happy you are living the dream, envision the details of this new expression of self, feel the exciting emotions of having what is wanted in exactly the way it is wanted. You can feel good right now.
5) Decide
Decide to achieve your dream. This may seem basic but many people never decide and commit fully to their dream. They simply keep “thinking” about it. Or, as the first obstacle appears they give up. Make a commitment to self that this is what you want. Obstacles, many of them, are going to arise. Failures and setbacks will occur. Deciding to succeed helps you develop a strong internal leader who will carry you through the good times and the rough times. By deciding that you will ultimately achieve your dream, you develop an internal leader who can remember the big picture no matter what is going on in the present moment. How and when you reach your destination is entirely flexible, but reaching the destination is no longer up for debate.
6) Take Action
For a dream to come true of course, you have to take action! Decide where you are now, and what seems like the right place to begin. Action means starting at the right place at the right time. Begin by choosing the smallest, most achievable, or most exciting steps that will create movement toward the desired outcome. Why the smallest steps? First, success builds on success. Secondly, huge, dramatic life-changing solutions rarely work. Instead, major changes are a result of a series of small steps that are taken, successfully completed, acknowledged, and then celebrated.
7) Expectation
Believe in the outcome of your dream. In the beginning, your belief may be small, but that is still and excellent place to begin. Find even the smallest seed of hope and possibility and look for ways to nurture your expectation of success. You may have no idea how to get from where you are to where you want to go, but it is essential that cultivate a growing belief that you can, ultimately, have what you want. Use positive affirming messages to self, pictures of success, encouraging thoughts, motivational tapes, prayer, self-love, visualization. Do whatever you can and expend however much effort is necessary to reaffirm your dream and the belief that you can have what you want. It’s okay to have fear. Fear often means you are heading in the right direction. Your fear is a signal that your dream or goal is something that you really want. Only you don’t know exactly how to make your dream come true, so fear pops up to step you from risking failure. Acknowledge fear as part of the journey and don’t let it sway your expectation of overall success.
8) Responsibility
Feeling good, being excited about being alive involves taking responsibility for your life and your choices. Feeling good is a choice. Deciding to feel good also requires action. If you are feeling anxious, stressed, overwhelmed, hopeless, or even depressed, your responsibility to reach inside and search for an idea or thought feels good and inspires. Only you can decide if your dreams are important enough to overcome any adversity you may face. What is one small action you could take right now to help you regain your confidence? No matter how much effort it might require, follow through and take that step.
9) Acknowledge Both Effort and Success
Keep a check list of all the successful, wonderful effort and action you put into achieving your goal. Chart all your achievements and efforts, big and small. Without a tracking process, you can’t see how far you have come. And if you can’t see your efforts, you are more likely to quit. Celebrate often. If the celebration is postponed until the end of the journey, you miss the entire soul purpose of having the dream. This is of course to feel better and more optimistically alive in the present moment.
10) Visit Your Dream Often
When you run into a wall, encounter a setback, or fail in your current attempt to achieve success, reconnect with your dream. When things seem most unattainable, you need to regain your strength in order to avoid giving up. The reason you spent time at the beginning imagining your goal, nurturing your goal, and creating a bond of love between you and your goal, was so that you could refuel when you need it most. You put love into your dream when you felt optimistic. Now that you are feeling tired, or even a bit hopeless, go back to your dream and allow it to feed your love back into you.
Creating the life of your dreams will require much effort, emotionally, spiritually and physically. Fall in love with the journey itself – not just the outcome. Fall in love with yourself for having a dream. Self-love is a consuming passion for our own happiness. It is a choice you make to focus your attention on beautiful outcomes. Follow the steps above and create your own world of dreams made real!

How To Make The World A Better Place
So many people fear change. The economy slips and they fear the worst. They lose their job and they fear that they will never get another one. Looking at it from another perspective, without change, we can never move forward. Change is Good!
What happens when the economy slows down?
Companies that have survived for years even though the products and services they offer are inferior to others are the first to go. Those who survive do so because they are forced to strive to deliver greater value to their customers. When the tough times pass, as they did in the Great Depression, the country comes out of a tough economic period stronger than ever before because it was forced to embrace change.
If you want to know how to change the world for the better, don’t look to the government for help. Look within. Sure, it’s important to take a stand and vote for the candidates you think are most dedicated to bringing about positive change, but it’s even more important to look within, to the greatest power for change in the known universe: yourself.
That probably sounds like an absurd statement – that you are the greatest power in the universe. It’s certainly not meant to make you feel egotistical. Only a narcissist thinks he’s the most powerful person in the world. But in a very real sense, you are the greatest power in the world, because only you can change yourself.
There may be a higher power standing right behind you, but until you acknowledge your personal power to change yourself, you will not be able to tap into the greater power that can help you change the world for the better.
Take this for example: Let’s say you’ve been working the same job for years. It pays the bills and you enjoy the respect of your colleagues, but it doesn’t satisfy something deep down inside. It feels safe, though, so you stick with it because you fear change. Then one day out of the blue, you lose your job. Fear is the first emotion you feel. It’s natural, but you needn’t let it be your master.
When Franklin D. Roosevelt became President of the United States in 1933, it was the height of the Great Depression. Fear was everywhere. It was Roosevelt who said the immortal words, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself” during his inaugural address. Many people believe that those stirring words alone helped lift America out of the Depression.
Remember those words when change comes unexpectedly. Don’t let fear paralyze you into going backwards.
Remember that Change is good and use change as a springboard to launch you forward. Do so and you will find all the power you need to change yourself and the world. That’s how to change the world for the better: embrace change, believe in yourself and let’s try to heal the world.
I Talk And Hang Out With My Dead Friends . . . .
Some of the strongest members of my Personal Success Support Community are dead. Napoleon Hill , Harry Truman, Winston Churchill and Dale Carnegie are a few of the men who have inspired me and kept me motivated all through my career. When things get tough or I need some encouragement, I make time to “talk” with these men. Let me explain . . . .
For the most part we stand alone in life. Yes, you may have friends, Family and colleagues in your life but when the day is done you’re standing by yourself and directing your own journey . Only you make the final decisions in your life. You may confer with your significant other or a friend but the final decision is yours.
Life is so complex and so intense sometimes that being able to embrace the proper support and counsel at anytime, day or night is , I think, so critical to success in your personal or professional life.
One way to achieve that opportunity is Biographies. Biographies can be inspirational and life changing in a number of ways, and will be remembered for the time in your life when you need this back up. Obviously it doesn’t matter if someone is alive or dead. The personal history of that person matters and what matters the most is how it affects and makes you feel.
It’s not only Biographies, it’s any book or article that inspires you, motivates you and gives you the strength to move forward for the next few moments or the next few days. Finding and storing Success sayings and quotes are another piece to have for your Success Support library. Buillding your own Success Support library and having it at your fingertips will be an essential piece of your own Personal Success Support community.
The following will allow you to have some of the support you need 24/7 when you need it . . . . .
1- Buy folders and file your articles and notes by category. Break them into the following:
Persistence; Success; Action ; Attitude; self Confidence;Positive Sayings; Positive Thinking to name a few.
2- Underline copy that moves you and tag the page with a post-it. Mark the post-it with the page number and a word or two about what is on that page.
Most of us, swimming against the tides of trouble the world knows nothing about, need only a bit of praise or encouragement – and we will make the goal. ~Jerome Fleishman
