It’s impossible to cover everything below in one post. I will help you start and you must continue to do the research neccessary to strengthen every element below. . I will eventually cover all seven individually in the future. You must see these seven elements as one unit dedicated to helping you achieve your success. If one is missing or weak you will have a tough time succeeding. You must look to strengthen all of them every single day.

I suggest you get 7 file folders, mark each one with an element and accumulate all your information. Highlight and mark pages so that you could review the information anytime you want to.

Think of all the information below as a Sitemap or a Roadmap . . . . . Any questions? Feel free to reach out to me.

1-Dreams
This is where it all starts. This is where you need to “see it” or “feel it” or you cannot and will not move forward. Feeling that you are destined for great things and not being able to see exactly what it is right now is a great start. Don’t worry if you can’t see it today.

Embrace this feeling and be aware of it all the time. Read everything you can and meet and talk to old friends and new people to see what they’re up to. Embrace and nurture this feeling and your conscious and subconscious mind will become aware of, and will help you see, opportunities as they present themselves. Actually seeing what you want gives you the chance to focus your research and networking.

Either way the dream must inspire intense desire to enable you to move forward. Think Big . . . .Really Big. Don’t be afraid. Toss the bigger dream around in your mind for a couple of days and have fun and play with it. Play without judging it and you will see how incredible you feel when that big dream eventually feels comfortable and obtainable.

2-Emotions
The ups and downs that you will experience in the pursuit of success will be substantial and it’s enough to bring the strongest person to their knees at times. You must learn about how to control your emotions. It’s not easy but the good news is that it can be done and it’s all in your control. If you can only remember one thing then remember that you have the power to maintain and control your emotions.

3- Belief
If you believe you can, you probably can. If you believe you won’t, you most assuredly won’t. Either way you’re going to be right. Belief is the ignition that will get that fire roaring. It will carry you through all the way to the finish line. You must believe in your dream but most important of all you must believe in YOU. Ask yourself “Why not me?” Make a list and then with a black magic marker cross off all the lame negative reasons. Rewrite the list with all the positive reasons and then title it ” THIS IS WHY I CAN BE SUCCESSFUL” . Stick it on a place where you’ll see it every day and then just move forward.

4-Desire
So you want to be an actor or a nurse or a millionaire? That’s nice. Well you may not get it. There is only one thing that is stronger that setbacks, failures, disasters and that’s Desire. Big Dreams plus Enormous Belief in yourself equals huge indestructible Desire. You have to need success, not merely want it. Needing it like you need food and water will put you miles ahead of the global competition.

5-Change
Change is coming! Change is Good! If you see change as your enemy it will smack you around plenty. You will defeat and short circuit yourself and your dream. You . . .and only YOU will be responsible for derailing your success journey. You cannot beat “change”. It’s indestructible.

Embrace change and you give yourself a daily pass to start all over every day. Change comes in waves, sometimes big and sometimes small. Change happens all the time. Sometimes it works against you . . .Deal with it . . . . . and sometimes it works for you. You need to have faith that in the end it will be ok and you will flourish and move forward. Your goal is to always move forward. Moving sideways and back is normal, and it will happen, but when a new day dawns you must be persistent and move forward. Keep changing your approach until you achieve your goal.

6-Support
This one is usually left out in the majority of personal development books and articles. The mastermind concept has been around many years and should be a part of your success support network but it should be only one part.

You need deeper mental and emotional support. The Lone Ranger stories are all fiction. If you take a closer look at any personal or professional success story you will see another person or persons who were an important part of the story.

You need people who feel you and care about you. A spouse, partner, friend, teacher, parent, counselor or lover will give you that deep emotional support you need to help you get over the finish line.
Don’t have that? That’s ok I never had it either. There are plenty of ways to get that support from reading. It’s been a huge part of my success.

The major point: Get that support; You are going to need it. It could be one person, one book, or many people and many books. Point is: Get your cheerleader(s) ready.

7- Never, never give up
I dont think this needs much of an explanation. How can you ever fail if you never, never give up? This is where the other elements kick in to support you. You also must be ready, able and willing to effect a new course of action that is needed to succeed. You must do what you can to stay standing. You do not Give Up, Give In or Go Home. Temporarily Retreat, regroup and rest is what you do if the situation is difficult. Tomorrow you start all over again!!!

“When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hang on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.” ~Harriet Beecher Stowe

I wish you a lot of Luck. I’m part of your Success Support Network if you need me. You can make it.

Best wishes now and forever,
Barry

The Formula for Success . . . 6 steps That Will Bring You What you Really Want

Why is success so elusive for most people? They make it harder than it really is , That’s why . . .

Success really is a simple process . . . . These are the 6 very powerful steps for building a powerful future.

Follow them and enjoy the success you have always dreamed of.

1- You decide what you really need. You won’t make it if you just want it. You must need it. You’re absolutely totally committed to this “need”. There is no turning back. You have done the dreaming and the research and now there is no doubt about the Vision. You’re going for it! You need it! You’re not going to let anyone or anything stop you.

2-You are willing to take extraordinary action. You don’t care how many hours in a day you have to work ,You don’t care what tasks you have to do, you don’t care how much you have to travel, you will do whatever you have to do to succeed. Anything!!!

3-You are constantly vigilant as to what is working and what is not. CONSTANTLY !!! You should quietly and calmly review your findings on a daily basis. You should keep a journal on everything you see, think, feel and even suspect. A pattern will emerge if you remain open. Expect failure and then fight like a madperson to make sure it doesn’t happen. I call this my preventative attitude. It keeps you sharp and prepared.

4-You stay Nimble and Flexible. You love your product the way it is and no matter what you’ll make people buy it. Right? Wrong! Ask questions . . .Questions will help bring the Big Bucks. Who, why, what, where, when and How. Ask…Ask…Ask. If people working with you are a wrong fit do them a favor, and yourself, and help them leave and find a job that’s right for them. Don’t fall in love with anything or anyone. It’s an attitude that is good for everyone.

5- Continue to change your approach, based on all the information you have accumulated, until you achieve your goals. If you have to change to a less glamorous course of action after hearing the reality of the situation so be it. Do Not fall in love with today . . Change is coming . . .You will always have to start “all over again” tomorrow. Get used to it.

6-NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, GIVE UP . . . . . it’s impossible, I repeat, it’s impossible to fail if you adamantly refuse to give up, give in or go home.

Follow these steps and you can’t fail.

As I said if you never give up, give in or go home there is no failure.

There is retreat though. You enable your organization to rest. You plan your next move, you review all the steps above and then launch your offensive.

Good Luck!

See you on the open road . . .

Best wishes

You Can Move Mountains

You Can Move Mountains
By Dr. Mario Barrett, Ph.D.

When I was as a child, I never thought that I would have the ability to lead a change effort, yet here I am imploring humanity to lead itself from the inside-out.

Back then, I didn’t believe that I had the power to shift people’s thinking about poverty, crime, violence, and most of all, how they viewed themselves. I never thought I had the skills, persona, or proper upbringing to lead others. Like much of humanity, I believed that a new leader would emerge and take charge.

Therefore, I waited for our generation’s Dr. King, John F. Kennedy, Nelson Mandela, and Ghandi. Well, I waited and waited, while the problems around the world (such as poverty, hunger, racism, and genocide) that called for leadership were not getting the attention they deserved. You see, the problem with me, like with most of us is that we do not see ourselves as leaders, relegating us to waiting for the “one” who we think is. The problem is that while we wait, often times, the world’s problems get worse.

So, who is the “one” you ask?

The “one” is that individual that we perceive to be a leader, who will step in and correct all of the world’s ills and save us.

The “one” is that individual that we believe is larger than life and can move mountains with his/her charisma, intelligence, oratory skill, or cunning.

The “one” is that individual that can draw large groups of followers to support him/her in causes of concern to all of us.

The “one” is that individual that gets us into action, when we can’t get into action on our own.

Crazy enough, it was not until recently that I realized that I am the “one,” I mean, we all are.

And while, we may not have all or any of the attributes that I just described, we all have a passion to take action on causes that we hold dear to our hearts. In my case, my passion for self-empowerment has led to my development of the attributes necessary for successfully leading others to addressing their causes.

We are all the “one,” because we cannot continue to wait for the next coming of King or Ghandi.

We are all the “one,” because the world’s ills will not go away on their own.

We are all the “one,” because if not us, then who?

The truth is that the responsibility to solve the world’s ills resides in all of us. We all have the ability to lead others to take action(s) on causes that we hold dear. We all are versions of King and Ghandi, as they were versions of us. Get it through your head, we all are leaders and have the the ability to transform the world into a place that works for all of us.

With all of this in mind, when will you start moving mountains and embrace yourself as the “one”?

Change Could Be Scary . . . Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway

“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.” ELEANOR ROOSEVELT

One of the most debilitating yet common emotions is the emotion of fear. Fear is one of the most powerful and ominous obstacles to positive, long lasting change. Fear is one of the most significant roadblocks to becoming whatever you want to be and/or how you want to live. I don’t have a magic potion to help you but I can tell you what has worked for me.

Its power to derail our future is the reason I felt it deserved its own special spotlight. We all know what it feels like but exactly what is it? The dictionary lays it out like this: A feeling of alarm or disquiet caused by awareness or expectations of danger. Fear is used to warn you, to protect you from harm, physically or mentally. That’s it. It will not and cannot hurt you unless you mentally allow it to bully you.

Remember, we said there are no good or bad emotions. They all just have a job to do and they’re only concerned about supporting you, their master. One of my former business partners said something to me that I will never forget. We were three partners in a very large business. He said that when he is afraid it paralyzes him but when my other partner and I are afraid we keep on moving. That got me thinking . . .

I realized that courage is absolutely NOT the absence of fear BUT feeling the fear and moving forward anyway.

If I could, I would make you go to the board and write this statement 100 times.

Fear has many benefits. Fear is great for getting your adrenaline pumping to enable you to outrun some nut who wants to harm you. Fear, if used as pure atomic energy, helps for safe situations also. A challenging game of basketball, your debut on a stage, even running a competitive race can always use that intense energy.

When the adrenaline is pumping it gives you the edge you need to stay safe or win that championship game. When fear becomes so overwhelming that the physical and mental pain makes you freeze that’s a problem. The fear is not, I repeat not, stopping you. It’s not the cause of your frozen state. You and your thoughts are the cause of it. Why are you doing that to yourself? Answer that and you get a pass to move forward.

Here are some things I do to push myself forward towards my goals when I’m afraid :

1- When you feel your fear, and I say your fear because only you know what it feels like for you, you must acknowledge it, respect it and talk to it. Go to a safe, private place and question the fear out loud. “Why am I afraid? What’s going on that I’m missing or not seeing? Are you protecting me, warning me or just sending up a caution flag and need more information? What are you trying to tell me? Be patient and keep asking. The goal is to find answers.

Fear distorts the truth and truth dissolves your fear.

Questions and their answers will get you to the heart of the truths. Write down every answer you get. Have it right there in front of you.

When you do find answers don’t always expect to feel better. There may be a real danger or a risk involved but now you can think a lot more clearly and make better decisions.

2- This next question deserves a special place of its own: “What’s the worst that will happen?”

This is the main question for getting you to feel the fear but move forward anyway. In addition to the questions in number one, this question should be asked by itself, and record every answer no matter how crazy it sounds. Who knows, you may find out things are not that bad.

3- Get someone to lean on. Get moral support. Get someone to be there to be your cheerleader. You need credible, positive adults around you. I have a few friends I go to but I get most of my “support” from authors of great articles that you can find on “article websites.” I print and keep them in folders by category: Success, support, persistence Etc. Etc.

When I get scared or just sad I pull my articles out for mental nourishment. They are my Mastermind Group. Books that inspire you should be read and mark the pages that make you feel good. Go back to them 100 times a day if you need to. You do whatever you have to do to move FORWARD.

4- Get out and be active. Take positive steps towards your goals. Opportunity does not make house calls. Being out there will allow opportunity to find you. Go exercise if you can. Being active will help you feel better and besides you never know what’s out there for you.

The Main Point . . .The key is to be able to always MOVE forward. Courage is not the absence of fear; it is feeling the fear and moving forward anyway. You’re the ONE. It’s all up to you. YOU can do it!

Good Luck!!!
See you on the open road
Best Wishes

Your Change Mission. . . Surviving Another Day

Success is not about one particular “thing”… It’s not even about two, three or five “things.” Success is about a journey. Your personal journey. It’s about fear. It’s about tears. It’s about laughter. It’s about triumph. It’s about setbacks.

You are the director of the movie of your life. That means you have the power to change anything you want in your life. You have the power to move mountains from one scene to another. You have the power to be who you want to be.

There is one catch. . . you must believe, truly believe, in yourself.

Let’s take a look at the success in your life. Remember a situation and close your eyes and feel it. Look at a real simple one first. Can you honestly say that when you started that particular journey or project you expected it to fail? I highly doubt it. The truth is you had to expect to win more than you expected to lose and there might have been a little luck, being in the right place at the right time or other favorable conditions.

The reality of it was that most of it was that you expected to succeed, to get it done, to make it happen.

Expecting good things to happen to you and expecting victory is about self respect and confidence in your yourself. Positive Expectancy is about attitude. It’s about this kind of belief:

“No matter what happens, no matter how brutal my reality is, I will Prevail;”

“I will be OK;” “I will succeed;” ” I deserve success;”

With this attitude, the beautiful thing is, you are allowed to screw up.

You are allowed to make mistakes. You are allowed to get knocked on your butt from forces beyond your control. All this could happen to you BUT, and this is a huge BUT, you must have full faith and confidence in yourself that you will get to the other side and be ok. Maybe Bloody and Beat up but you will survive another day.

The person who lives with Positive Expectancy knows how to turn setbacks into new beginnings and sees change as an opportunity to get another chance to do a do over.

That person knows that they always get a free pass to start all over again tomorrow…always.

Positive expectancy is not about being a super person and getting everything right all the time. It’s about being a human being who understands that life does suck at times and that life is not fair. You may hit the proverbial brick wall at times but you always know that you will be ok and that you will find a way to learn from the setback, change your circumstances , and get up and try again…and again and again and again.

Expect Failure You’ll Get it. Expect Success You’ll Get It. It’s Up To You. It’s That Simple.

Good Luck!!!
See you on the open Road
Best Wishes,
Barry
